Just follow this steps and you will master the art of Runescape playing:

  1. Runescape is a web browser game (not text) where you click around to get to places. It’s a 3D MMORPG, and It’s way better than Club Penguin (WTH).
  2. Go to http://www.runescape.com and click ‘Free Users Click Here’ sign (or something like that). Once it has been fully loaded (a minute or so), click ‘Create new account’ and do your stuff.
  3. Once you have created your account, click the login button to play the game. Enter your username and password etc;.
  4. Select the way you want your character to look like, and then afterwords there will be a tutorial. It’s quite long but interactive, so just complete the tutorial. It’s fun, actually.
  5. After the tutorial, you will be transported to Lumbridge, the place where most newbies end up. If you wish to earn money, right click the NPC’s that roam around the area and click the option ‘Work for’. Note that you can toggle the run button on the Mini Map area. Ignore the beginner help etc; stuff, because they dont help.
  6. Some things you can do when you start Runescape is to earn money, kill cows/goblins to get your Attack/Strength/Defence up and stuff. Note that Attack helps you hit more often, Strength helps you in hitting high and Defence, well yeah.
  7. This are the main places where you can visit: Varrock, Al-Kharid, Duel Arena (Al-Kharid), Lumbridge, Draynor Village, Falador, Wilderness and many more (click the world map near the mini-map to find out the places where you can go as a non-member).
  8. Enjoy Runescape. It may sound boring, but it’s really fun when you get the hang of stuff.

If you feel like buying one of the barrows items, consider this:

  • Guthans. The top set for your ultimate training machine. What’s special about Guthans is that if you wear the whole set, you have a chance to drain your opponents health points and then add it to your own. That way, you can train for hours with just little food. It’s the most expensive barrows set out there because its speicalty is the best out of all the other barrows brothers. Remember, this armor will degrade over time, so make sure you have the money to mantain it.
  • Dharoks. Best for dueling and Gorilla training. It helps you train Strength alot, and it’s specialty is commonly used for Dueling. Dharok’s specialty is that the lower your hp, the higher you will hit. Dharok’s armor is not very expensive (4M or so), but using it as a training equipment (the whole set) is not recommended although you can use it’s armor for defence (Very strong Strength Bonus). Remember, this armor will degrade over time, so make sure you have the money to mantain it.
  • Veracs. The Brassard is very cool looking, but the armor really serves no purpose. The specialty of Veracs is that there is a chance for you to ignore your opponents prayer or armor, which is pretty useless although using it while PKing in the new PvP worlds (boo) is quite good because most people use prayer. Remember, this armor will degrade over time, so make sure you have the money to mantain it.
  • Torags. The most useless armor in all of Runescape. The only reason people buy it is because of it’s High Defence Bonus. Torag’s specialty is there is a chance for you to drain your opponents run energy or something. You would rather buy a Abyssal whip rather than this, seriously. A money waster. Remember, this armor would degrade over time, so make sure you have the money to mantain it.
  • Ahrims. Good for mages. I dont really care about mage equipment, so I guess its good for its Magic Bonus. This too will degrade over time, so make sure you have the money to mantain it.
  • Karils. The Ranger of all the Barrows Brothers. Good for ranging (Karil’s Xbow), but most people prefer Crystal or Dark Bow. This too will degrade over time, so make sure you have the money to mantain it.
